BattleSnake is a programming competition held in Victoria, BC. Teams of students and developers build web-based AIs for the classic arcade game "Snake". Participants include: students from University of Victoria, Camosun College, Royal Roads University, Vancouver Island University, as well as development teams who want to test their AI programming skills.

Startup Slam v2
Building off our success with Battlesnake we knew we had to come back for Startup Slam v2.0. With a reinterpretation of interactive workshops we had 150 students learn from some of Victorias most talented engineers and founders about what the startup world is all about.

Our StartupSlam event was so successful at UVic that we decided to come back and host BattleSnake! On February 21st 2015, around 100 students stormed the ECS building on campus to battle their AI in the fiercest competition known to snake.
